Through ACCESS, Amrin provide legal technical support to Judicial Police from Ministry of Woman Affair (MoWA) on Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence and the Protection of Victims.
- Capacity Building: The trainees spent 16 sessions of three hours each. The purposes are to let the participants to practice following by comments of Consultant four areas: Case Analysis, Techniques of Interview, Legal Consultation and Disputes Settlement. 1. Case Analysis: (6 sessions): The students will be divided into two groups in each session to discuss case studies. After they finish the analysis, they should present to the whole group followed by questions from other participants and comment by the trainer at the end. Each session has different case study. 2. Techniques of Interview: (3 sessions): In each session the student will be divided into two separate group. Each group will interview one person. Session 1, the student will interview the victim of domestic violence. Session 2, the student will interview a witness and the Session 3 the student will interview the suspect. 3. Legal Consultation: (4 sessions): In each session, the students will be divided into two group acting as a paralegal to give advice to a client. Each session has different story. 4. Disputes Settlement: (3 sessions): In each session, the students will be divided into two groups act as mediator to settle the disputes of a couple.
- Manual Guideline: Guidance Manual for Domestic Violence Case: This manual has purpose to outline all legal issues relating to domestic violence cases and their answer or what the lawyer or paralegal should do when they face that problem. It will help the lawyer or legal officer or paralegal know how to help the victims of the domestic violence. b. Guidance Manual for Family Disputes This manual has purpose to outline all legal issues relating to family Disputes and their answer or what the lawyer or paralegal should do when they face that problem. It will help the lawyer or legal officer or paralegal know how to help any woman want to consult when she has family disputes or wants to divorce.
- Legal research and survey: Develop a check list of performance of Prosecutor, Investigating Judges, Trial Judge, Plaintiff Lawyer and Defense Lawyer at the level of court of first instance.
- Oriented Workshop: Organize Three orientation workshops to show the trainer how to use and how to explain the students how to use both Guidance Manuals and another one how to use the check list and explanation of each question. It will be spent for whole morning for each session.
